Hi Alison,
If it hadn’t been for twitter I wouldn’t know about you or the new venture, and I live in the nearby village of Wark. ( I actually lived in Haltwhistle for 9 years…. but that was in a past life.) ……. I think that the new venture looks great! and I would like to be a part of it if possible.
About me.
I am an Artist from a Surface Design background ( 30 years plus designing for home textiles, wallpapers etc). Take a look at my website, http://www.dimarsart.co.uk and link to blog etc. It may give you an idea at the work I do. Recently I have been integrating my skills as a floral and decorative artist with slightly more symbolic themes.
I have recently submitted a wallhanging for the Lifespan charity http://www.lifespanteam.org.uk to be auctioned at the Biscuit Factory in October. It is titled “Passionstar”. It may give you an idea of the style that I am working on at the moment. ( pic on my blog)
I look forwrd to popping down to Haltwhistle when you are ready.
Best Wishes, Diane.
It’s great to meet you, Diane! Thanks so much for the posts and the links. Would love you to be part of the project. Would you have time to come down to Haltwhistle next week? We can chat about it all over a coffee!
Email is stop@twhistle.co.uk
I really hope we can lots more local artists on board … I want to see if we can get a network and twitter seems to already be helping with that. I think we now have around 8 artists … so let’s keep going! It’s only week one!
