Owners: A newly formed Community Interest Company (limited by guarantee) with a Board of Trustees drawn from the local community and project managed by artist, Alison Raimes.
Aim:
To provide the local community of Haltwhistle and the West Tyne Locality and the artists in rural Northumberland with the highest quality personal artistic development and outreach resources to engage with current visual arts.
Objectives:
- to provide exhibition spaces to showcase the work of young and emerging local artists and temporary exhibitions by visiting and invited artists.
- to assist and encourage the aspirations and innovation of young and emerging local artists by assisting them through the provision of facilities and affordable studio spaces in the Haltwhistle area.
- to reach out to the local community of Haltwhistle and the surrounding rural areas through a diverse programme of workshops and community projects that will encourage creativity for all age groups.
