The SMARTZ Club have been very busy since the club formed in November 2011. Since then, they have worked on lots of collaborative projects including the Tree in the Sea project, the Secret Garden, Ice Creams on Mars and the Cave. You can still see this work at the studio on the Hadrian Enterprise Park until 14th July but after that the Cave will be dismantled making room for our new exhibition space to be built.

This week, as part of Haltwhistle Carnival Week we have a Vincent Van Gogh scarecrow in the car park at the Hadrian Enteprise Park. He is busy working on a sunflower painting and is attracting a great deal of attention.

During the half term, the SMARTZ Club participated in mask making workshops delivered by Rose Furlonger. We are going to be joining the Carnival Parade on 8th July as figures from Greek Mythology and carrying our own Olympic torches!  Do come along and see us. After that, we will be holding art workshops in the children’s activities tent on the field. Bring the kids along for some creative fun!

Want to come along and see what we do on Saturday Mornings? Then drop in any time between 10 and 2pm!
